We visited Marlborough, Wells, Glastonbury, Lynmouth,
Penzance, Polperro, Mousehole, Land's End, St Ives, Looe, Lizard Point, Shaftesbury, Stourhead, Stonehenge and many other
places. We went to England on 5 July and stayed there until 15 July.
LAND'S END, CORNWALL
I took all these photos on Friday 9 july 2004. Among
other things, the thumbs below show Longships Lighthouse, which is 1.5 miles away from Land's End. Even further out are the
Scilly Isles, but though they were clearly visible when we were there, they don't show up in the pictures.
KYNANCE COVE, CORNWALL
A cove is a small, sheltered bay and there are many
of those in Cornwall. Kynance Cove has some of the most spectacular scenery on the Lizard Peninsula. There are numerous caves
and there is an island off-shore, which is called Asparagus Island, beacause this plant grows there in abundance.
We visited Kynance Cove on 10 July.
